About the project

Economic Architecture, a non-profit focused on redesigning markets to serve the public good, wanted to launch a podcast that platformed discussions about ever-present systemic challenges with people seeking to combat them. This project involved designing podcast cover art, episode thumbnails, and accompanying visualizers for audiovisual listeners.

Project Details

This was an inaugural project for the organization.

In the midst of a light visual identity refresh, Economic Architecture wanted to launch a podcast centered around the premise "How do we solve the problems that really matter?" They wanted cover art that reflected what they wanted to do—bridge together different perspectives to address the "bigger picture."

Because this podcast would involve a variety of guests and cover a variety of topics (as it relates to structural innovation on various economic problems), the design process centered around abstract layouts, leveraging their vibrant green color, and leaning on organic references to connection and ideas (branches, intersections, maps, etc).

"I love working with Stella. As a graphic designer, she brings a thoughtful, iterative approach to her work, incorporating feedback and bringing her own valuable insights to the work as well."

Things I Did

  1. I designed the 1:1 key cover art that would display in podcasts libraries on platforms like Spotify.

  2. I designed an accompanying visualizer for audio-only podcast episodes that aired on youtube or other platforms where audiovisual graphics are supported.

  3. I designed animated intros and outros for podcast recordings in Riverside.

  4. I adapted podcast graphics for social media promotion (creating 16:9, 9:16, and 3:4 variations)
